Mobile Dosing Unit

KB packaged chemical dosing systems

Chemical dosing need never be complicated. Consider the straightforward and full-proven design of KB packaged chemical dosing unit. Here is a product specially developed by the Advanced Process Systems division and fully proven on hundreds of sites across Britain.

Mobile, safe and fast

It offers a standard concept rather than a standard design. By changing pump selection, telemetry and controls, the unit can be tailored exactly to meet client needs. The overall unit size can also be varied to meet chemical delivery within the range of 1 to 2.5 cubic metres. Units can also be supplied with multiple storage solutions, enabling separate chemicals to be stored for multipoint dosing. A good example of this is the combined storage of a biocide and an anti-scale

Many of these sites are particularly remote or exposed to the full outdoor force of the elements. Here, the design benefits of the KB have been specified precisely because the unit offers safe, secure and repeatable chemical dosing – benefits that do not require close or constant human attention. Options of instrumentation and variable telemetery and electronic interfaces enable the system to be remotely monitored and controlled.

Supplied as an integral, compact and lockable unit, the KB comprises of a chemical storage tank, a control and distribution panel, dosing pump(s) and associated pipework. It is easy to transport to site, install and set up on location, requiring only the minimum of civil preparation. For this reason, the Advanced Process Systems KB also serves as an excellent emergency back-up or temporary dosing unit.

The KB represents versatility almost unlimited. It offers a purpose-designed and fully self-contained chemical storage and dosing system for the treatment of both potable and wastewater. It is widely used for such applications as septicity prevention, coagulant addition, plumbosolvency chemicals, sodium hypochlorite - and many other chemical dosing needs. The concept also lends itself to industrial solutions, such as cooling tower dosing.

Our Role

Advanced Process is a specialist designer and builder of chemical dosing plants and has been bringing its advanced engineered solutions to the treatment of potable water, wastewater and industrial effluents for many years. We also serve related markets, with an unparalleled track record of completed projects specializing in septicity control for wastewater treatment and phosphate removal.

Chemical engineering

Advanced Process dosing solutions are capable not only of delivering a precise flow of chemicals over long and sustained operational periods, but the system design is engineered to store and handle a full range of chemicals. This capability spans not only different concentrations of chemicals, but also their differing corrosive effects, freezing points, viscosity, proneness to gassing and other variables.

Built to approved standards

All Advanced Process dosing systems – including tanks – are design-engineered, assembled and pre-tested at our dedicated manufacturing facility in Birmingham. Long before any equipment gets to site, it has been pre-commissioned within the controlled environment of a modern production plant. This makes site installation and final commissioning far quicker, safer and hassle-free.

Fully supported

Every Advanced Process chemical dosing system comes with an extended support and protection package. We can also offer a further package of servicing and maintenance throughout the life-time of the system. The level and type of this support can be tailored to your needs and ensures a safe and efficient dossing solution for years to come.
